The sisters go shopping!

With the hubby's out of town or otherwise occupied, it was a good day for the sisters to go shopping, and take Mom along for the fun.

With 6 passengers in a 5-passenger car, Mom volunteered to ride in the back (No kids, Grandma is NOT in the trunk!!)  Our first stop was The Quilt Patch in Tecumseh (OK, 2nd stop . . . had to go to the bakery first, and pick up some soft pretzels and cookies for later!).  We all found lots of beautiful fabrics that we just had to have . . . including this adorable winter RV scene fabric that I just love!

"Hey Deb, what are you buying?!"

Mom found a comfortable place to rest and check out all our purchases.

Tina and Diane are happy with the purchases they made, and are ready to move on to the next quilt shop!

That's a pretty quilt in the background . . . I like it almost as much as the granny square quilt that we all made!  With everybody's purchases loaded in the back with Mom, we drove through the Clinton Fall Festival to one of our favorite quilt shops -- Jennifer's in Pinckney.

Jennifer's Quilt Shop is homey and cozy, and full of good things to buy!  We found plenty that we couldn't live without!

Mom doesn't quilt like the rest of us, but that doesn't mean she can't admire the pretty fabrics!

I found a really cute Halloween fabric that I'm making into a wall hanging.

It's getting a little crowded in the back of the car -- good thing we only visited two shops, or Mom might have ended up riding on the roof!

After a quick trip to the Quilting Fairy to drop off a couple quilts and pick up a couple, we had a delicious dinner at Aubree's in Dexter.  It was "Happy Hour", and calzones were just $4.99.  Dee, Sandi, Tina and I all decided to try them, but Mom had a burger and Deb had fish & chips.

YUM! They were really good, but left just enough room for Dairy Queen for dessert!!

Final stop of the day was the farm market by my house where everybody bought concord grapes and other goodies, and then they dropped me off at home and Mom was able to move up to a seat (yeah!!).

It was a beautiful fall day full of food, fabric, and fun . . . and mom said that the ride in the back of the car was worth it!
