1st Quilt Run of 2013

We went on our first quilt run yesterday, for 2013.  It was a great day.  Starting with breakfast at Cracker Barrel, very good, then on to Bettsville, Ohio to the Door Mouse.  Great quilt shop, we spent almost three hours there, everyone buying the store out.  Mom even made a purchase. Here are a few pictures, I get wrapped up in shopping and forget to take pictures.

It was Kellys first trip to the Door Mouse, she bought material for a turning twenty quilt.  It was very nice, good job Kel!

Deb bought some patterns and fabric to start a quilt from one of her new patters.

Sandi also found a new pattern and fabric for a new quilt

Tina got fabric for 3 quilts, one for Alex, Brian and a baby quilt for a Kreuz niece.  I bought fabric for 2 quilts and a small quilt for Liam.

All in all we left the shop with over $600 of our money.  Mom found a nice place to relax.

Dinner in BG, nice place, we have ate here before.

We did so much shopping in Bettsville, we did not really do any in Bowling Green.  But we did get dinner which was very good.

 

Okay, I finished my new quilt; also, showing the back of it (which is quite cool) and the throw pillow and pillow cases. Kind of a different color for me; purple, but think I like it.

NEW QUILT 1-2013

I PICKED UP TWO QUILTS FRIDAY AT KRIS'S.  I GOT ONE DONE.  THE GENERAL'S WIFE BLOCK OF THE MONTH, I DID NOT GET THE PILLOW CASES DONE THOUGH.  I WAS GOING TO PUT A PICTURE ON BUT WHEN I CLICK ON INSERT PICTURE MY FILES DON'T COME UP ANY MORE.  THEY ASK FOR URL WHICH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS.  HELP MARCI.  HOW DO I GET A PICTURE ON.

2012 Fulton County Fair Winners

Had twelve items at the Fair this past summer and of the twelve I won 12 ribbons (yes all 12) .  It was a great year at the Fair, the only blemish on it was that my mother-in-law wasn't there to share it with me. She had to check it out from heaven, but I think she'd had been proud of me and my accomplishments!  I will continue my entries each year if only to carry on the "Kreuz" name in the "Arts & Crafts" competition.  Not just quilts here, had wallhangings, table runners, pillows, even cross-stitch pictures.

I have many projects in the works right now, 5 quilts done in the past three months.  Looking forward to Christmas as some of my many projects are for family.  See you soon, Tina.

Finished my newest quilt: think the purple looks good, instead of the black i was going to use for the borders and the sashing.
Not a hard one to make, but lots of strips.
Oh, and holding the quilt is "TATA, Savannah and Colten"!
